Human Resources Administrator
Our client is looking for a Human Resources Administrator who will be responsible for the development and delivery of HR programs and services in the areas of retention, employee relations, training and development, employee benefits and compliance. The HR Administrator will contribute to the organization by building positive relationships across all departments and supporting the President with day to day Administrative tasks.
- Manage Corporate HR policies and related procedures
- Manage HR programs including group insurance benefits, compensation, HRIS, training, performance management, absence and disability management, health and wellness, employee engagement, and recognition.
*Support the President with Calendar Management, email triage, and operations support
- Develop, lead and drive a health and wellness strategy for the Company
- Lead the implementation of departmental communications strategy, monitoring programs, to create a continuous improvement / performance driven culture
- Discover new ways of attracting top talent by developing and maintaining partnerships with post-secondary institutions, and exploring other online recruitment tools, fostering a strong talent pipeline
- Work with line management to identify and resolve HR issues as they arise while promoting positive employee/management relations in carrying out day-to-day HR services and support.
- Coordinate the resolution of policy-related and procedural issues/enquiries.
- Coordinate/conduct exit interviews, supporting managers and employees; compiling and reporting data to determine themes for future action.
- Ensure best practices are followed by staying current with labour/ employment legislation and HR industry developments. Drive health/safety best practices.
- Identify and address issues that affect the overall health of the organization; morale, effectiveness, turnover, absenteeism and productivity.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time per business requirements.
- Post-secondary education (diploma/degree) in Administration and/or HR a definite asset
- 8+ years of progressive work experience in Executive Assistant and HR Administration
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email and HRIS systems
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is an asset
